In terms of applying to RISD, as cliche as this may sound, it never hurts to try. I almost didn't even apply. In all honesty, I sent out my application and home tests to RISD just for shits and giggles expecting a rejection letter last year, and now here I am nearly done with my freshman year. RISD is what you make it - you'll either learn a hell of a lot or you'll just collapse in on yourself. It's all dependent on dedication and hard work.
Aw thanks for the advise! That’s what I was thinking about doing, just applying anyways.
And I feel the whole “it’s what you make of it,” concept is true of every university. I’ll probably apply anyways just to see if I can get in, but I have this feeling I won’t get excepted.
